Paintings by Alberta Mirais

Alberta Mirais was born and raised on the West Bank of Minneapolis, and follows in the footsteps of both Mother and Grandmother as a painter. She has 30 years of experience in visual arts. Alberta specializes in pet portraits, and she feels a strong connection with animals.

Pet Portraits are Alberta's specialty. She paints by hand, using a digital photo of your pet as reference. The painting will look very much like the photo, but in vivid and sometimes unconventional hues, often with surreal or pop-art backgrounds. Painted portraits are on stretched canvas in acrylic paint, and vary in size and price.

Pet Patches are small, hand-painted portraits on heavy-duty 4.5 inch canvas circles, finished with an embroidered edge. You can sew them on to your favorite jacket or bag! Pet Patches are the more affordable option to a traditional painted portrait and make a fabulous gift.
